This city, which is located in northeastern Italy, is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world. The Venezia region is indeed located in a lagoon known as Laguna Venezia, a shallow lagoon covering an area of 550 km². Venice itself is the capital of the Veneto region, with an area of around 414.57 square km.
Venice Water City is built on a group of islets in the Venetian Lagoon. The small archipelago consisting of 118 islands is separated by a number of canals. More than 400 bridges were built to connect lands separated by canals.

In the city of Venice there are about 117 large and small canals, the largest is called Canal Grande or Grand Canal. A 3.8 km long canal which is one of the main traffic lanes in the city of Venice. The width of the Grand Canal varies from 30 to 90 meters, with an average depth of around 5 meters.
The main form of transportation in the city of Venice is mostly watercraft, such as water buses or water taxis. Apart from using water as the main traffic route, Venice Water City residents also usually walk through city streets which are very narrow, making it impossible for cars to pass. However, that does not mean that there are no land vehicle traffic lanes at all, because this city also has several bus and tram lines.
